Finvoy Presbyterian Church Baptisms

Note These partial records have not been properly transcribed but are presented here as gleaned from mailing list postings by Derek Torrens who is very active in investigating the local notes and who can be contacted via the Bann Valley Mailing list. I, Richard Torrens, have not seen the originals and cannot vouch for the accuracy of the transcription!

Notes

  1. Usually in Ulster a place called New Buildings was built about 1690-1700
  2. Looks as if mother's maiden name was Torrens
  3. Probably Maddiduff. 'dubh' is the Irish for black and can be pronounced in a place name as doo or duff.
