Gustave Anjou
Secretary: British-American Record Society
Cor. Sec'y: American Genealogical Society (Printed letterhead)

Sept. 2 1919

My dear Mr Torrence

Mr J S Torrance, of Los Angeles, Cal., wrote me on April 28th that you
"has full authority to act for me in the premises", i.e. on "the subject
of our correspondence", to quote Mr Torrance.

Since that time, I have lost my eyesight on the left eye, from overwork,
and been instructed not to use my right eye except for very important
work.

May I ask you, therefore, what arrangements have been made for the
payment of $950., and where shall I deliver the MS.?

Ridgley Torrence
