          of James Torrens who
          departed this life the
          21st of March, 1804,
          aged 31 years

2         Erected
          To the memory of James Torrens
          late of Gorton who departed
          this life on the 2nd of May,
          1852, aged 84 years.

Above are on separate upright stones, beside each other.

James Torrens on second stone was grandfather of Dr. Torrens (see chart
last sent)

    A third stone near the others has only:

          The burring
          place of Samile
             Torrens.

This is a later stone. Notice various spellings. The sculptor was not
highly educated in orthography!!

Garvagh First Presbyterian Church Graveyard

1       To the memory of John Torrans
        of Coolnaman who departed
        8th August 1824, aged one year.
        William Torrans who departed
        this life on the 14th August, 1844
        aged 24 years.
        Samuel Torrans died on the
        28th May, 1868, aged 75 years.

        Sacred to the memory of
        Mary Ann Torrans daughter to
        James Wilson Torrans of
        Coolnaman who departed
        this life January the 22, 1837
        aged 23 years.
        Also their mother Margaret Torans
        who departed this life 26th March, 1867
        And their father James Wilson Torrans
        who departed this life 27th October, 1873
        Aged 92 years.
