My Kirkpatrick interests are actually on the east of the Bann, possibly Rasharkin, but those I am sure of were from Finvoy and Ballymoney parishes.

You have found the birth of a great aunt of mine that I didn't know I had. It is as follows:
1883, June 9; KILPATRICK, Margaret; Drumlee; Ballymoney R.D.; Vol 1, pg 154; Fa: William, Farmer; Mo: Jane Patterson. I saw the derelict remains of their home at Glengad, near Drumlee, in 1969. However, I have only seen their name written as KIRKPATRICK, prior to this, including on their wedding certificate which states that the groom was from Drumlee.

Many of my people were from Drumlee and neighbouring townlands, and my great-grandparents were William KIRKPATRICK and Jane PATTERSON. I have a cousin and his wife who have gone to great lengths to help me in my quest. He is a KIRKPATRICK and they live in Coleraine. Now, seeing this above listing under KILPATRICK, they will keep an eye out for that name as well.

You have done so much work, Alison, and I appreciate your willingness to share it with all of us. Thank you very much.

Colleen

Do you have KILPATRICK and/or KIRKPATRICK research interests in Kilrea
parish, Colleen? or in Rasharkin parish on the County Antrim side of
the Bann River?

Alison
