Knowhead is in Co Donegal, very near to the border with Co Derry, and there is a Presbyterian Church there by that name. Knowhead is linked with the congregation of Ballyarnet in Co Derry.
I know a little about the Dinsmores there and the "original" Dinsmore maybe came there by marrying "Small" as you state below.
The Revd Reuben Dinsmore was from Knowhead, Co Donegal and was minister of my native Presbyterian congregation near Coleraine from 1961until 1979 when he retired. I conducted his funeral service a year ago last month (91 years old) and interment took place in the family plot in the Irish Anglican (Church of Ireland) graveyard in Muff, a village right on the Donegal/Derry border. There is a large headstone there and dates etc, and at least one other Dinsmore headstone. They are just as you go in the gate on the left. I hope this is of help.
