[4qd-bannvalley] 1718 migration project

In regards to the Kilpatricks, are they a variation of McIlfatrick's that
changed their name to Kilpatrick when they migrated to Canada? There was
Thomas McIlfatrick that married an Elizabeth Dripps.

Hello Linde
Yes it is great that we can access so much good stuff as
opposed to junk on the internet now. It makes it so much
easier to research in other countries although it is always a
good excuse to travel! I have enjoyed trips to Ireland the past
3 years & researching at Proni gave me heaps of info but of
course there is never enough time to do it all. Must win the
lottery so I can get back again!
I am constantly referring my customers to websites in my job
as Reference Librarian which includes our Family History
section. It's great when your interest is also your job!

Regarding Kilpatricks- they are a connecting family to mine
having intermarried several times with the Irwins & Sloans all
from around Kilrea/ Moynock areas. I like to try to unravell all
the connections. The 2 who came to Queensland came here
around 1900. I've also noted the Kirkpatrick/Kilpatrick
interchange.
Do you know what happened to your Tommy? I could check out
marriage/ death records for you if you wish. Let me know.
 All the best
