I found in the course of my research that my Semple ancestors who settled in the Killykergan/Garvagh area, Hugh and Sarah Jane Semple, emigrated there from Paisley, County Renfrewshire, Scotland. That is near where a large contingent of Semples came of age near Lochwinnoch, the site of Castle Semple.
I found Hugh's birth in 1804 and his parents, John and Jean Semple, but am stuck there.
