[4qd-bannvalley] Re: Elder, Sharkey, Craig, Marshall of Garvagh
Hi, Trish,
I don't know about "The Grove" near Garvagh. "The Grove" I refer to is a
farm located on Inch Island. Inch is an island connected by a very good
causeway to the mainland of Ireland. The island is in Lough Swilly, west of
the peninsula of Inishowen, in Donegal.
My people come from Garvagh, Limavady, Ballyness, Aghadowey, in Co. L'Derry,
and moved to Inch Island in the mid-1800's.
If you go to my website you can see pictures of Inch, the Pres. Burying
Ground on Inch, and the gateway to "The Grove". This was the home of Robt.
Elder/Eliz. (II) Sharkey.
