Iain,
  That wouldn't be my line. My g-g-grandparents were Hugh and Sarah Jane (White) Semple. Hugh was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland in 1804 and emigrated to Northern Ireland sometime prior to 1840. Both are buried in the church graveyard at the Aghadowey Parish Church (St. Guiare's COI) in Garvagh, as are 4 of their children. My g-grandfather was a William Semple, but he was not born until 1848 and first married Nancy Roxborough. William emigrated to the U.S. in the mid-1860s.

Well I am in London for the weekend so don't have the details to hand but the McNeill's are from Ahgadowey and I am sure that ggg grandfather Daniel McNeill married Betty Roxborough so there may be be an alternative connect!
