Hi Coleen, at the moment I don't know if any of my Maddens went to
Canada, I'm still struggling to find out about my late grandmother,
Elizabeth Madden's immediate family, her father was John Madden this I
got from her marriage cert. to her second husband, David Hunter, this
marriage took place in 1920 in Trinity Church Ballymoney. Her first was
to Richard Jackson who died during WW1, my grandfather. This first
marriage almost certainly took place in USA. Still to be confirmed.
>From the 1911 census I found a John Madden + family, including a Maggie
Madden, and a Thomas Madden + family living in Rushey Hill, Bendooragh,
Co.Antrim. Families *Gilmore and Boyd also lived in the same area.
According to the IGI Thomas Madden was married to Jane Dinsmore
although in 1911 he was married to a Margaret, perhaps his second wife.
I have access to the Irish BMD indexes at my local FHC but for some
reason Elizabeth Madden's birth is not listed. The connection to Rushey
Hill is the address given on the cert. for the first born son of
Elizabeth Jackson nee Madden and Richard Jackson, a Maggie Madden was
the witness. That's it, I believe I have the right family but would love
to have it confirmed.

* There is a small graveyard near The Vow, when I was in Ireland last
Feburary I visited it. I found the grave for Gilmore of Rushey Hill but
there weren't any Maddens buried there. Hard place to find and it was
pouring with rain, I took some photos if anyone's interested.

Kind regards Jill
