[4qd-bannvalley] Admin. Please change the subject.

The subject matter of this thread was
Church Records - mistakes?

This posting is nothing whatsoever to do with the original subject.

This is a common phenomenon on the www and is known as 'Thread drift'.

So what, you ask? Just consider the way it presents in the archives. If
this, or ones before it, had ben properly re-started as a new thread with
a new subject, without quoting all of the original postings, the archive
would be a lot cleaner.

Clean up your rubbish and do not litter the archives!

Second point. Do not top post. Snip irrelevant bits of previous replies.
These ar also litter in the archives. All Microsoft mail programs are very
badly written in this respect and do not encourage proper use.

See the new site where the area http://www.Torrens.org.uk/Lists/
will contain list netiquette. two pages are already these, copied from the
old site but not yet rewrittem.
