Thanks to everyone for the Boveedy records. As always it is  
simultaneously depressing and challenging to see how many Gilmours  
there are..
 I note the several children of my great great great uncle James  
Gilmour; I had only one child for him before seeing the records just  
now. He was a Presbyterian minister and clearly went in for much  
fancier names than most in Boveedy; Chalmers, d'Aubigne..  Chalmers  
was a leading Scots cleric, and I suppose d'Aubigne was Merle  
d'Aubigné the historian of the Reformation?
