RE: [Bann Valley] Re: Welcome to BannValley@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fastyre mie Boyd,

Many thanks for getting back to me and sorry for the delay in
responding to your previous message to this. Your advice is valuable.
The 'at death' point is a good one. I will look into that. I have
since found out that the church records were given over to PRONI, so
the marriage of Thomas is lost I fear. However, there is one other
angle to try and that is to search the newspapers for anything around
the marriage date. I could strike lucky.

I am certain that there were only Hendersons at Ballyagan, Garvagh. So
you would be right in saying any Hendersons on the site going back
would be relatives.

As an aside, I have visited Garvagh twice in the last 12months and had
a good look around. It was amazing to visit and think that my family
would have walked all around there. I visited Ballyagan, and stood in
my Great Great Grandfathers house.

My Great Uncle, Harry Henderson would have been well known in the
village - they oporated a bakery at the farm, and would take the carts
to the village.

I also oporate a site on Ancestry.com and Genes reunited in the hope
of 'finding a relative', or them finding me!

Many thanks

Bill
