Linde, I do believe that you have done it again!

The first time was with my Samuel Kilpatrick and Jane M'Cay of Lislea townland, parish of Kilrea ... when you spotted my post to a genealogical message board and cross-referenced my details to Barbara Braswell's work.

This occasion doesn't involve my Bann Valley ancestors, but rather, my Irish line from Caledon in county Tyrone, and until now, a very elusive ancestral line from the county Kerry.

All I knew was that our great-great grandmother was born in county Kerry in 1823. This new web site shows a baptismal entry that I am able to tie in to British Army records pertaining to my great-great-grandfather ... and their eventual marriage at Chatham, England.

... and the LDS show a baptismal record for another generation back in this maternal line.

I cannot say that I have made a conclusive find, because I will have to corroborate these findings with such RC church records as I can find and consult in England ... but I now have enough information that qualifies as the best lead I've had in years.

Hurray!
:-)

Cheers,
Alison
