[Bann Valley] Garland Kennedy

Hi all, Im just looking through the list of Church Wardens at Dunluce Parish Church Bushmills, Co Antrim for my on maternal ancestors and found in 1841 the Wardens were Joseph Brown and Garland Kennedy.

Could this be the same Garland Kennedy who was involved and gave a statement into the "Kennedy Affray" when many of the Torrens Family assaulted a James Kennedy at Coolneman, Moneydig in 1810 ??

This may help anyone researching Kennedy family.
