Re: 1796
We may be able to divide his visits into 'rounds'. I have started with the
Mayoughil round. I am adding comments beneath the names as we get to them
and if we can identify the itinerary that wil help decipher the place
names.

Moneydig is 1/2 mile west of Culnamen.

Movenis is 1/2 mile west of Moneydig, on the way back to Garvagh.

That round is easy - it's our patch. the other may not be so!
Do you have a suitable map you can actually mark in the rounds as we
locate them?

I think the initial letter is in fact a T so Turcheran

I think the original is probably Machilmore. This boit of the text is
exccedingly difficult to read, it's so faint and I have a photocopy of
Lavonne's photocopy, so I have no chance!.

I don't know how much effort it's worth going to to identify the
rounds/tlds. I'll try a bit more and circulate you with the comments. The
Mayoughill round gives and idea - but this was close to base, so not much
travelling to and from!
