Born in 1768 son of Rev.Thomas married Mary Ball issues include
Thomas,Robert,William, Henry (educated in the Quaker School in Ballitore)
Elizabeth Grace who married Rev.William O'Neill of Shane's Castle.
Archdeacon John Torrens  spent 38 years in Narraghmore Co.Kildare. spending
6months of each year in Dublin his son Thomas was also rector in Narraghmore
Henry was killed tragically at the age of 22 in England and the school in
Narraghmore dedicated to him. Archdeacon Torrens is mentioned in the
leadbeater papers. We have a plaque to him in Narraghmore. He had two
younger daughters both died together on swallowed a pin and chocked and
while chocking grabbed her sister by the neck and chocked her also.
